This woman is not just a pretty face! Although, you may recognize her pretty face from our Instagram feed! Rebecca is a wife, mother, owner of Everline +co, and we have the luxury of working with her at Joydrop. Her belief of kindness is one of the many reasons we are inspired by Rebecca, keep reading to find out more.

Tell us about you:

I am wife, mother and owner of Everline +co. I grew up in Calgary, but was born in Saskatoon, sk (Go Riders!) I adore all things pink, I’ve never met a pair of suede shoes I didn’t love and my spirit animal is a squirrel.  I live with the belief that we should always be kind, you never know what someone else is going through. A simple act of kindness (like a smile) could make someone’s day.

What do you do?

First and foremost, I am a mama. But when I’m not busy corralling my little ladies, I am a creator and business owner.

What are three words that best describe you?

Creative, stubborn, cautious.

What brings you joy?

I consider myself an introverted-extrovert. I like to have quiet time, but I also love meeting other makers, creators and being in larger social settings; like markets. But if I’m having a bad day, a chai tea latte will go a long way.

What do you do when you need to reset?

I’m really working on this one, a big thing for me is putting away my phone and enjoying what’s around me. The birds chirping, a day at the lake with my family or a spa day!

How do you give back to your community?

I have been a sufferer of postpartum depression so $3 from each of our Mama Village Necklace’s sold goes directly to Postpartum Support Calgary, they have created a safe space for struggling moms.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

“A flower does not think of competing to the flower next to it, it just blooms.”

What is your biggest learning?

So far my biggest learning would be that I am allowed to put myself first and still be a good mom.

If you could have coffee with anyone who would it be?  And why?

I have 2 answers. First I would LOVE to be friends and have coffee with Cat & Nat (if you’re a mom and you don’t follow them, you NEED too) I love that they keep it REAL...!
And then I would like to sit down with Jessica Alba. I’ve always admired her, but now that she has a successful brand, kids of her own, I’d love to know what she does to find/keep her balance.
